For past several days, I am reading about the requests to bring the Mulband before public. But, unfortunately there has not been any positive response and there is no hope in sight. 15-May-2012 || Jay Laxminarayan || || જય લક્ષ્મીનારાયણ || ઘણા દિવસથી જોવું છું કે અમુક લોકોનું કહેવું છે કે, આપણા સુરધન મુસ્લિમ છે માટે તેને માનવા વાળા લોકો પણ મુસ્લિમ છે. આવી ઘણી ખોટી, વિકૃત અને દંભી વાતો કરી રહ્યા છે. For past many days, I have noticed that some people are constantly making false, distorted and hypocritical statements that “Surdhans” (Martyr) were Muslims religion and hence all people who pay respects to Surdhan are Muslims. આ મુદ્દા પર છણાવટ કરવા માટે આપણે પહેલાં એક વાત સમજવી પડશે અને એ છે “સુરધન” એટલે કોણ? સુરધનનો અર્થ છે: ૧) યુદ્ધમાં મરણ પામેલા યોદ્ધાની સ્મૃતિમાં ખોડેલી ખાંભી. ૨) શૂરોપૂરો, લડાઈથી કે અવગતિથી મરણ પામેલા માણસની યાદગીરી માટે ખોડેલો પથ્થર કે ખાંભી.
