According to our sources, Janardhan Maharaj of Faizpur had attended the Sandal Ceremony of Imam Shah’s Tomb, held on 25th Ramzan month i.e., on 15-Aug-2012, this year. According to tradition, it is during this ceremony that Paval’s tablet is made. The Sandal Paste, which is made out of various things including the soil of Karabla (a place in Arab), is applied on the tomb of Imam Shah. Old paste is removed washing the tomb. This waste out of old paste is used to make Paval tablets. These tablets are then distributed to various Khanas of Satpanth across India. These tablets are mixed in plain water to make Paval. A small amount of this Paval water is offered to visitors of the Satpanth Khanas. (Note: Under taqiyya, these Khanas are also called Nishkalanki Narayan Mandir)
We have been told that Janardhan Maharaj was asked to recite the Kalmas in order to perform the Sandal Ceremony. To which Janardhan Maharaj agreed to recite the Kalmas silently. To this the Saiyyeds present there objected. They asked Janardhan Maharaj to recite the Kalmas openly. When Janardhan Maharaj showed his inability to recite the Kalmas openly, he was asked the Police personnel to leave the place. Then Saiyyeds present there completed the Sandal ceremony openly reciting the Kalmas.
From the above incident, four things become clear:
1) Janardhan Maharaj agreed to recite the Kalmas, even though silently.
2) Even today, Sandal ceremony is performed Saiyyeds
3) Sandal ceremony is performed reciting Kalmas.
4) Paval’s tablet is prepared following a Muslim ceremony.
અમારા સુત્રો ના આધારે અમને એવી જાણકારી મળી છે કે ઈમામ શાહની કબર ઉપર સંદલ ક્રિયા કરવા માટે ફેઝપુરના જનાર્ધન મહારાજ ગયા હતા. આ સંદલ ક્રિયા રમઝાન મહિના ના ૨૫ તરીકે થાય છે. જે આ વર્ષે ૧૫-૦૮-૨૦૧૨ ના કરવામાં આવેલ હતી. શાસ્ત્ર પ્રમાણે આ ક્રિયા દ્વારા પાવળની ગોળીઓ બનાવામાં આવે છે. કરબલાની (અરબ દેશનું એક ગામ) માટી અને બીજી વસ્તુઓથી તૈયાર કરેલ સંદલનો લેપ ઈમામ શાહની કબર ઉપર લગાડવામાં આવે છે. પહેલા લગાડેલ જુના લેપને ધોઈ નાખવામાં આવે છે. આ જુના લેપ થી પાવળની ગોળી બનાવામાં આવે છે. આ ગોળીઓને સતપંથના દરેક ખાનાઓમાં મોકલવામાં આવે છે. આ ગોળીઓને પાણીમાં ગોળીને પાવળ બનાવામાં આવે છે. આ પાવળને ખાનામાં આવનાર લોકોને આપવામાં આવે છે. (નોંધ: તાકિયા ના કારણે ઘણી જગ્યાએ ખાનાઓને નિષ્કલંકી નારાયણ મંદિર કહેવામાં આવે છે.)
અમને જાણકારી મળી છે કે જનાર્ધન મહારાજને સંદલ ક્રિયા માટે કાલમા બોલવા માટે કહવામાં આવેલ હતું. આ વાત માટે જનાર્ધન મહારાજ રાજી થઇ ગયા પણ કહ્યું કે કાલમાં હું મનમાં બોલીશ. ત્યારે ત્યાં હાજર સૈય્યદો એ વિરોધ નોંધાવ્યો અને જનાર્ધન મહારાજ ને મોટે થી કાલમા બોલવાનું કહ્યું. જયારે જનાર્ધન મહારાજે મોટેથી કાલમા બોલવા માટે અસમર્થતા દેખાડી, ત્યારે ત્યાં હાજર રહેલ પોલીસે જનાર્ધન મહારાજ ને ચાલી જવા કહ્યું. ત્યાર બાદ ત્યાં હાજર રહેલ સૈય્યાદોએ મોટે થી કાલમા બોલીને સંદલ ક્રિયા પૂરી કરી.
ઉપરોક કિસ્સાથી ચાર વસ્તુઓ એકદમ સાફ થાય છે:
૧) જનાર્ધન મહારાજ કાલમા બોલવા માટે તૈયાર થઇ ગયા – ભલે મનમાં
૨) આજે પણ સંદલ ક્રિયા સૈય્યદો કરે છે.
૩) સંદલ કરીય કરવા માટે કાલમાઓ બોલવામાં આવે છે.
૪) પાવળની ગોળી એક મુસ્લિમ ક્રિયા થી બનાવામાં આવે છે.
